China Proposes Overhaul of Chemical Registration Regulations

A draft of environmental management regulations covering new chemical substances in China that will be used in a future program similar to the EU REACH system includes extensive revisions that, if adopted, could benefit chemical companies.

The revisions potentially simplify registration of low-volume new chemical substances and prioritize procedures for registering new chemicals of environmental concern.
