Chevron, Exxon Face Fight Over Coastal Wetlands in State Court

A fight over the damage allegedly wrought by oil and gas operations to Louisiana’s coastal wetlands belongs in state court, not federal court, the Eastern District of Louisiana said May 28.

Chevron U.S.A. Inc., Exxon Mobil Corp., and ConocoPhillips Co. will likely appeal the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Judge Martin Feldman said for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
