Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau returns to Parliament Monday with a fresh crop of environmental proposals, but they’ll face a tougher legislative landscape than in the past.
Trudeau met with his Liberal Party caucus last week in Ottawa to discuss returning to the House of Commons, which includes new work on greenhouse gas emissions.
“We will, of course, be fighting climate change by exceeding our current 2030 targets and developing a plan to achieve a net-zero emissions economy by 2050,” Trudeau told the caucus.
