Canada Hires Hauler to Remove Its Garbage From the Philippines

Canada has hired a global transportation company to remove shipping containers filled with Canadian garbage from the Philippines in the hope of ending a five-year diplomatic fight with the island nation.

Environment and Climate Change Canada contracted Bollore Logistics SAS, the Canadian subsidiary of France’s Bollore, to bring the festering trash back to Canada to an undisclosed location, Environment Minister Catherine McKenna said May 22.
