Canada Concludes Acetone, Propene, Biphenyl Not Toxic, Require No Regulation

Canada has published final decisions that acetone, propene and biphenyl do not meet toxicity criteria and do not require regulatory action.

Despite a range of ways that people can be exposed to the substances, the assessments found that they do not meet criteria for toxicity in the Canadian Environmental Protection Act and require no regulatory action, Environment Canada and Health Canada said Sept. 13 in notices published in the Canada Gazette, Part I.
