California wants a federal judge to stop how the Trump administration is managing water supplies in the Golden State, saying protected species like trout and Delta smelt risk imminent and irreparable harm.
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra filed a motion Tuesday in U.S. District Court for Eastern California seeking a preliminary injunction to stop new guidelines for how the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation moves water out of rivers, reservoirs, and other surface water bodies to serve federal water customers.
