SAN FRANCISCO—Another California-based solar energy company has filed for federal bankruptcy protection (In re Solar Millennium Inc., Bankr. D. Del., No. 1:12-bk-11137).
Solar Millennium Inc., an Oakland-based holding company for Solar Trust of America and affiliated entities, was founded in 2005 by their ultimate corporate parent Solar Millennium AG to develop utility-scale solar energy projects in the American Southwest, according to the April 2 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
