California Regulator Adopts Safe Drinking Water Plan (1)

California’s top water regulator adopted a plan Tuesday that will guide the state in identifying and helping communities that don’t have access to safe drinking water.

The State Water Resources Control Board plan will help the state determine how and where to fund projects over the next decade.

• Water supplies for more than 1 million Californians are contaminated with arsenic, nitrate, disinfectant products and other compounds.
