California’s grid operator revamped its plan to accommodate requests from hundreds of clean-energy developers that want to connect new power supply, a situation it deemed “unprecedented and unsustainable.”
The California Independent System Operator will start setting zones to prioritize developing renewable, storage and other supplies to parts of the transmission system that have space or already are being expanded, according to the final draft proposal the operator issued Thursday.
