California, Exxon Square Off Over Plastic Pollution Case’s Venue

California sought to keep its lawsuit accusing Exxon Mobil Corp. of deceiving residents about its plastic pollution in state court by telling a federal appeals court the company’s recycling claims are the crux of the state’s case, not the oil giant’s pollution in waterways.
