The Interior Department will consolidate some of its sub-agencies’ operations within Secretary Doug Burgum’s office.
The department’s human resources, information technology, financial management, training, international affairs, communications, and other administrative functions will be consolidated within the secretary’s office, according to the order signed Thursday by Burgum.
“This unification effort will accelerate technology advancements and enhance the Department’s ability to deliver on our core mission,” Burgum said in the order.
The Interior Department didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
