Burgum Cites China Link in Tough US Reviews for Solar (1)

US Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said China’s key role in supplying US solar developments necessitates a more rigorous review process to ferret out any potential threats to national security.

Burgum told a House of Representatives appropriations panel that “a lot of these solar projects were built almost exclusively with Chinese-made solar panels.”

As a result, “that’s an issue for national security,” he added.
