Brookfield Raises $10 Billion for Energy Transition Fund

Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. raised $10 billion for its second global fund dedicated to investments in the shift away from fossil fuels that cause climate change.

The fund is set to be bigger than the first Brookfield Global Transition Fund, which raised $15 billion when it closed in June 2022, the company said in a statement. Last year, Bloomberg reported that the Brookfield fund could raise as much as $25 billion depending on investor demand. Fund raising is set to finish in the third quarter of this year.
