Bridger Pipeline to Pay $2 Million to Settle Oil Spill Lawsuit

Bridger Pipeline LLC has agreed to pay $2 million to resolve claims linked to a 2015 oil spill from its Poplar Pipeline into the Yellowstone River, according to a Wednesday filing in a Montana federal court.

The payment will be split between the federal government and Montana, and the state will receive $1.7 million to deposit into the Yellowstone River 2015 Oil Spill account. The state trustee will use the funds to restore or rehabilitate natural resources damaged as a result of the oil spill, according to the settlement filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana. ...
