A vote in the House on a landmark water sharing agreement among seven Southwestern states could happen as early as next week, the chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee told Bloomberg Environment.
Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) said there are more than enough votes in the House to overcome the concerns of some Southern California lawmakers and pass the Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan out of the chamber, one of the last hurdles the plan must clear before being enacted.
