Big Law Firms Score Poorly on Climate in Yale Student Ratings (1)

The nation’s 100 most prestigious law firms have worked on 10 times as many cases exacerbating climate change as mitigating it, according to a group of Yale Law School students.

The students are encouraging fellow law school peers not to work for firms that represent the fossil fuel industry.

From 2015 to 2019, law firms on the Vault 100 list handled 286 cases that would worsen the effects of climate change, and only 27 that would mitigate them, according to a new report from Law Students for Climate Accountability. The Vault 100 list ranks the nation’s most prestigious law firms ...
