Big Cat Deaths Draw New Lawsuit Against Texas Tiger Sanctuary

The Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary in Texas has failed to provide quick and adequate care to its animals, causing the deaths of at least nine lions and tigers over the past five years, according to a lawsuit filed by an animal advocacy group in a federal court in the state.

Each of the deaths is due to the “haphazard management” of Emily Owen or Brian Werner Ferris, current and former Tiger Creek directors, the Animal Legal Defense Fund told the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
