Biden to Sign Medical Marijuana Research Bill in Historic Move

President Joe Biden will sign a bill that would make it easier for researchers and manufacturers to study marijuana, his spokesman said.

The bill (H.R. 8454), passed by the Senate on Wednesday night, would ease registration for medical and scientific research on marijuana and its compounds. It would also streamline manufacturing of marijuana for medical and scientific research.

The bill is the first Congress has passed as a standalone measure increasing access to the drug.
