A White House effort to strengthen an environmental justice executive order largely untouched since the 1990s is heading to President Joe Biden’s desk in the coming months, administration officials said.
The Council on Environmental Quality is working on recommendations for revamping an environmental justice executive order, and a draft “will be ready for the president’s consideration and review” this summer, according to a White House report released Monday.
