A federal judge’s decision to halt ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc.'s oil and gas development plan in the National Petroleum Reserve of Alaska will remain in place after the Biden administration declined to file an appeal.

Conservation groups that challenged the federal government’s approval of the company’s Willow Master Development Plan celebrated the passing of the Tuesday deadline to appeal the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska’s decision.
