Biden Chemical Chief Freedhoff Joins Holland & Knight as Adviser

Michal Ilana Freedhoff, a chemist who’s focused on legislation and regulatory policies throughout her career, joined Holland & Knight LLP, the law firm announced on Tuesday.

Freedhoff most recently led the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention under former President Joe Biden.

In that role, Freedhoff implemented mandates in the 2016 Toxic Substances Control Act amendments, which she’d helped negotiate as director of oversight for Democrats serving on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
