Biden Budget Skips Funding Uranium Reserve Sought By Miners

The Biden administration is not seeking funding for a national uranium reserve created under former President Trump, according to budget documents released by the White House on Friday.

  • Initiative was seen as way to help bolster U.S. uranium producers, including Energy Fuels Inc., Ur-Energy Inc. and Cameco Corp.
  • Congress dedicated $75 million to begin the uranium reserve in December
