Biden Authorizes $735 Million for Electric Truck Purchases

The Biden administration on Wednesday said it would award more than $735 million in grant money for recipients to buy some 2,400 zero-emission vehicles.

The funding comes from the 2022 climate law, which delivers $370 billion in climate and energy investments across the government. But not all of that money has been committed yet, and the Biden administration has been moving to get it on the streets before President-elect Donald Trump—who has expressed hostility toward the White House’s electrical vehicle policies—takes office.
