BGOV Bill Analysis: H. J. Res. 60, Block Glen Canyon ATV Limits

A Biden-era rule restricting off-road vehicle use in certain sections of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area — which spans southern Utah and northern Arizona — would be blocked using the Congressional Review Act under H. J. Res. 60.

The National Park Service rule, which was finalized Jan. 13, will prohibit off-road and street-legal all-terrain vehicles on an eight-mile stretch of the Poison Spring Loop and will prohibit the area’s superintendent from allowing them on the upper portion of the Flint Trail. In total, ATVs will be blocked from around 25 miles of area trails under the rule.
