Advocates Urge EPA to Halt Chevron Plastics Waste Burning (1)

The Environmental Protection Agency needs to stop letting plastic waste be turned into fuel and rescind approvals that allow a Chevron Corp. facility in Mississippi to do so, according to a letter from Beyond Plastics sent Friday.

Beyond Plastics president Judith Enck asked top officials in the EPA’s chemical and air offices to pull any agency approvals that allow the Chevron Pascagoula refinery in Mississippi to convert plastics to fuel.
