Best Buy Hit With Proposition 65 Lawsuit Over GoPro Accessories

Plastic suction cup camera mounts sold as GoPro accessories at Best Buy Co. Inc. violate California’s Proposition 65, a suit filed in Los Angeles alleges, because the store failed to warn consumers about the presence of a listed toxic chemical.

Consumer Advocacy Group asked a state trial court to force Best Buy to notify Californians who purchase suction cup camera mounts about the presence of DEHP, a phthalate on the state’s list of cancer-causing chemicals.
