BASF Corporation agrees to pay $316.5m to settle claims with a nationwide class of public water systems that detected PFAS in their drinking water sources.

  • Company will pay $312.5m to resolve the PFAS claims, plus $4m toward settlement administration costs, releasing these claims against BASF, Ciba, and other related corporate entities
  • Settlement is subject to approval by the MDL Court and other contingencies, and that process is expected to take several months
