The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission should complete a final environmental impact statement for the Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas export project as soon as possible, Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and 13 other Western lawmakers said in a letter Jan. 12 to FERC Chairman Cheryl LaFleur.
The project, proposed for Oregon’s Coos Bay by Calgary-based Veresen Inc., was found to have minimal environmental impacts, according to a draft environmental impact statement issued by FERC in November 217 DER A-14, 11/10/14, 217 DEN A-16, 11/10/14, 216 ECR, 11/7/14.
