Baltimore Urges Supreme Court to Ditch Industry Climate Petition

Baltimore is calling on the U.S. Supreme Court to reject a petition from oil and gas companies fending off the city’s climate-focused lawsuit against them.

The technical legal question at issue in the industry’s petition hasn’t created a significant split among appellate courts and isn’t worth the justices’ time, Baltimore lawyers said in a brief Monday.
