Attorneys Request $95 Million in Fees for DuPont PFAS Settlement

Attorneys representing municipalities that sued DuPont de Nemours Inc., Chemours Co., and other chemical companies for allegedly contaminating their drinking water with PFAS asked a federal judge for only $94.8 million in attorneys’ fees.

The request was 8% of the almost $1.2 billion class action settlement agreed upon in June. Of that amount, 5%, or about $4.7 million, will be held back for legal fees to administer the settlement through 2030, the filing said.
