Arkema Asks Court to Bar EPA From Releasing Its Trade Secrets

Arkema Inc. is asking a federal district court to issue an injunction to prevent the EPA from releasing trade secrets to private citizens.

The North American subsidiary of the global specialty chemicals manufacturer asked the US District Court for the District of Columbia Friday to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from releasing confidential business information (CBI) sought by environmental groups. Those groups allege in a separate lawsuit that the EPA has unlawfully withheld chemical health and safety information from public review.
