Arizona Sues to Force Environmental Review of Immigration Policy

The Biden administration’s decisions stopping border wall construction and pausing the “Remain in Mexico” program should be reversed until the federal government studies the environmental impact of the immigration policies, Arizona tells a federal court in the state.

The federal government “flouted compliance” with the National Environmental Policy Act by failing to complete an environmental impact statement, or a less intensive environmental assessment, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
