Arctic Refuge Oil and Gas Leasing Mandate Targeted for Repeal

Democratic Congressman Jared Huffman of California and other conservationists are pushing Congress to repeal a law mandating the government sell oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

  • “We’ve got an opening, we’ve got a chance and many of us are going to push very hard to undo that provision,” Huffman said in a Center for American Progress event Thursday
