Annie Caputo to Resign From US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (1)

Republican Annie Caputo plans to resign from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, according to a statement she sent to NRC staff Tuesday morning.

Caputo said she will resign when former Commissioner David Wright, whose term expired in June, is sworn in for a second term. Caputo, who served on the commission from 2018 to 2021 and has again since 2022, is cutting short a term that will expire in 2026.

“The time has come for me to more fully focus on my family,” Caputo said in the statement provided by NRC spokesman Scott Burnell.
