The owners of the fish tender vessel Knot EZ are liable for penalties and injunctive relief under the Clean Water Act for oily bilge water discharges into coastal Alaskan waters, the US alleges in a new lawsuit.
The complaint, filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Alaska, alleges the vessel discharged oily bilge water into Kodiak Harbor while anchored there on July 28-29, 2022.
