The public may never see a federal health agency’s conclusions about whether fluoride can harm children’s IQ when consumed in drinking water, according to newly filed documents in a federal district court.
The director of the National Toxicology Program (NTP), which is run as a partnership of three federal health agencies, will decide next year whether that program will release two documents summarizing scientific evidence about the health effects of fluoride, according to a motion the Department of Justice filed with the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday.
