Aerojet, Boeing Avoid Radioactive Exposure Claims in California

A California resident who sued over her exposure to radioactive materials failed to allege she was exposed to radiation above federal limits, so her lawsuit can’t proceed, a federal court in the state ruled in a win for Aerojet Rocketdyne Inc. and the Boeing Co.

Plaintiff Beverly Moistner didn’t say she was exposed to radiation above 10 millirem per year, according to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She also didn’t allege any facts that showed “more than a mere possibility of such exposure,” the court said.
