Advanced Energy Can’t Avoid Lawsuit Over Faulty Solar Inverters

Advanced Energy Industries Inc. must face a lawsuit claiming it sold faulty inverters for solar panels installed on the roofs of public schools in New York City, a federal court in the state ruled.

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York rejected Advanced Energy’s claim that the case should be dismissed because Solar Liberty Energy Systems failed to identify a false claim to support its lawsuit filed under the New York False Claims Act.
