3M, DuPont Avoid Further Penalties in Georgia Rivers PFAs Suit

3M Co., E.I. du Pont de Nemours, and other chemical companies aren’t liable for an $850 million remediation to a Georgia town’s wastewater treatment facility after decades of discharging per- and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals in the publicly-owned water supply, a federal court ruled.
