Pennsylvania Wetland Restoration Ordered After 35-Year Battle

A mulch supplier will restore some wetlands that Pennsylvania property owners filled without a permit in the 1980s, according to a settlement that resolves nearly 35 years of litigation between the owners and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

The pact doesn’t guarantee full restoration of the Bucks County land, but a federal judge said that it was the best solution to end the litigation and remediate a portion of the wetlands that have been filled in for decades.
