The owner of multiple solar facilities in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and other states failed to send a timely notice before proceeding with his legal challenge to the Vineyard Wind Project, a Massachusetts federal court ruled.
Thomas Melone, who sued individually and on behalf of Allco Renewable Energy Ltd. and Allco Finance Ltd. asked the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts to set aside the federal government’s approvals of the offshore project near Martha’s Vineyard. The approvals violated the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act and Endangered Species Act, among other federal environmental laws, according to the complaint.
