Lawmakers Press Oil Companies on Suspected Collusion With OPEC

Senate Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse and House Democrat Frank Pallone say they are merging their investigations and escalating a probe of oil companies suspected of conspiring with OPEC to artificially raise prices, according to a statement.

  • Lawmakers write the CEOs of BP America, Chevron, Expand Energy, Devon Energy, ExxonMobile, Hess and Occidental Petroleum, whom they say have failed to comply with requests for documents and information, according to the statement
