FERC Cost Allocation OK’d for Rhode Island Solar Project Upgrade

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission reasonably denied a solar energy developer’s challenge to revisions in a transmission service agreement that determined the cost of transmission upgrades in Rhode Island, the D.C. Circuit said Friday.

FERC reasonably made its determination because Green Development LLC’s petitions for review lacked merit, the court said.

Green Development sought interconnection with the distribution system of public utility Narragansett Electric Co. to connect to the power grid.
