The US Department of Energy announced $40 million in funding to advance the development and deployment of clean hydrogen technologies as well as $20 million toward a North American university research consortium to implement grid resilience programs and achieve decarbonization goals, according to the DOE Tuesday.
This funding opportunity aims to advance the affordable production, transport, storage, and utilization of clean hydrogen to enable decarbonization and revenue opportunities across multiple sectors, the department said.
A concept paper is due on Sept. 23 and a full application is due on Dec. 1.
