Energy Transfer Bid to Block Rival Pipeline Overturned on Appeal

A Louisiana court overturned a ruling that stopped DT Midstream Inc. from building pipelines crossing an Energy Transfer LP conduit.

The ruling Wednesday by Louisiana’s Second Circuit Court of Appeal reversed a temporary restraining order granted to ETC Tiger Pipeline LLC to prevent DT Midstream from constructing a perpendicular line beneath ETC’s pipeline.

Multiple developers including Williams Cos Inc. are sparring with Energy Transfer, saying the pipeline heavyweight is blocking them from building projects by not allowing them to cross its conduits.
