Motel 6 Wage Suit Sent Back to California State Court

A lawsuit accusing Motel 6 of employment law violations will be moved back to a California state court, a federal court said April 2.

The company failed to prove that the case involved enough money for federal jurisdiction.

Plaintiff Christina Cummings accuses the lodging chain of unfair competition, failure to pay minimum wages and overtime wages, failure to provide required meal and rest periods, failure to provide accurate wage statements, and failure to provide wages when due.
