Mondelez Worker Class Action Settlement Gets Early OK

Mondelez Global LLC‘s settlement of a class action employment dispute was preliminarily approved by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California Feb. 13.

The snack food giant was accused of multiple violations, including failing to pay overtime wages, failing to provide meal and rest periods, and failing to pay wages upon ending employment. The company agreed to pay $1.5 million to roughly 3,225 current and former employees. The average net distribution to individual employees will be roughly $293, according to the plaintiffs.
