McKinsey Drops H-1B Visa Suit Alleging Government Dragged Feet

Management consulting firm McKinsey & Co. has dropped a lawsuit alleging the Department of Homeland Security dragged its feet in approving an employee’s H1B visa, according to court filings.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services denied the visa petition of an employee in McKinsey’s healthcare systems, pharmaceuticals, and medical products practice group. The agency’s internal appellate body reversed, finding that the employee had proved that this position qualified as a specialty occupation for purposes of the H1B.
