General Dynamics Defeats Bid to Remove Wage Suit to State Court

A former General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. employee failed in his bid to return his wage suit to California state court because the amount in controversy is roughly $6.2 million.

General Dynamics provided sufficient evidence to support assumptions underlying its calculation, which exceeds the amount required under the Class Action Fairness Act, Chief Judge Cynthia Bashant of the US District Court for the Southern District of California said in a Tuesday order denying Carlos Rodriguez’s bid to remand the case to state court.
