A behavioral health hospital in Queens, N.Y., has agreed to pay back pay and civil penalties as part of a settlement of claims by the Department of Justice that the hospital was requiring newly hired legal permanent resident employees to present more documentation verifying employment eligibility than required of citizen employees, DOJ announced Dec. 19, 2012.
